Prenatural & Protection events in the Bible
Examining the Preternatural sight events in the bible
The word preternatural means; “surpassing the ordinary or normal.” It is a close parallel to Supernatural. which means; “not existing in nature or subject to explanation according to natural laws.”
As my bible study and exploration continued certain events stood out to me especially those that enhance the natural ability of man’s sight and the same event has happened multiple times to
different individuals that were being used by God for a special task. The Preternatural vision events got my attention enough that prompted my investigation of them and to compile them
all together in one place. Comparing the similarities and scope of coverage.
The First one is found when God allowed Abram to see all the land he and his descendants would receive (Gen. 15:18-21) and it says; “In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”
#2. Moses viewing the promise land from Mt. Nebo (Deut. 34:1-4) and it says; “And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.”
#3. Elisha seeing the great army of angels that were with him and his servant but the servant could not see them until God opened his vision. (II Kings 6:16-17) and it says; “And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” In All of these events God was showing a servant of His fulfillment of the promise of protectionfor unseen events in a time of danger.( Psalms 91:11) I was a recipient of this sort of protection and it was shown to the enemy and they advised their superiors why the order to kill was not carried out My companion and I were informed why our enemy did not attack and destroy us as they had intended to do. They told their superiors that they were blocked from entering the little camp on the mountain top where we were praying with a native tribe. It was made known to us that if we did the Vietkong would come in and kill all of us. We did but the attack never came and to our amazement we were informed that it was reported that they come but could not get past those men in white with flaming swords outside the camp. ( They probably were Cheribum like the ones we see used in Gen 3:24 They are the protective group of The Angels) This happened to myself and a Chaplin friend of mine when we were serving our tour of duty in Vietnam. I had Three other miraculous protections while there and was told that I should have been killed each time (To God BE the GLORY)
